Presenting the revamped logo for Huddersfield Disabled Students Society!
Client: Huddersfield Disabled Students Society
Goal: Redesign the logo to have the same colour scheme whilst improving accessibility, moving away from the more sterile wheelchair symbol logo, and removing part of the logo that included the jigsaw symbol which many autistic people find offensive
What we did: We worked to find another representation of disability which is inclusive and can fit the colour scheme. We settled on a sunflower inspired logo, in reference to sunflower lanyards. We used high contrast for enhanced visibilty for those with low vision. We also used bionic text to make the name of the society accessible for people with dyslexia.
